28th April 2026, 10.30am-4pm
You are warmly invited to join us for an interactive workshop bringing together Early Career Researchers working in the humanities and social sciences from across the Yorkshire and Humber Cluster. This one-day event at Sheffield Hallam University will shape the future direction of our regional ECR network through collaborative discussions and creative planning sessions.
Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow ECRs and regional delivery partners, share your experiences and challenges, and actively contribute to designing future events and initiatives that address the specific needs of our research community.
The workshop will feature facilitated discussions, networking opportunities, and hands-on planning sessions.

The British Academy Early Career Researcher Network is an inclusive, researcher-led community open to all UK-based early career researchers in the humanities and social sciences, offering a supportive space to connect, collaborate, and access high-quality training, funding opportunities, and up-to-date sector information. By joining, you’ll become part of a network that helps you to develop your skills and career, and reduces the sense of isolation often felt in a competitive research environment.
