Please note, this cross-university development programme forms part of a central three-pronged supervisor development offer delivered by the Doctoral School alongside the Doctoral Supervisor Development Programme (DSDP) and Intermediate Supervisor Development Award (ISDA). The three-pronged offer enables supervisors to select the most appropriate level of training to meet their needs, rather than having to work through the different ‘levels’, in turn. If you are new to supervision we recommend completing the DSDP first, followed by the ISDA, followed by UKCGE Recognition application support.
Applying for UKCGE Supervisor Recognition Workshop – 11th February 2026, 10am-12pm
This session is designed to support Sheffield Hallam research supervisors to develop Associate or Full applications for UKCGE Research Supervisor Recognition. The session will be run in the format of a writing workshop, with opportunities to hear from supervisors who have been successful in achieving recognition and have reviewed recognition applications.
During the session there will be an opportunity to share your drafts with tutors/peers and ask questions in relation to the development and submission of your applications. The tone will be supportive, collegial and encouraging. Please email rida@shu.ac.uk for more information.
