SUMMARY:Writing your staff profile - PGR session
DESCRIPTION:Earlier this year\, we moved to new staff profiles on the exter
 nal website:  profiles.shu.ac.uk   To help you access your new staff p
 rofile\, and to write it\, we are organising several sessions which will b
 e led by Dr Lisa McGrath. Lisa is an associate professor in educational l
 inguistics in the Sheffield Institute of Education. She teaches and resea
 rches writing.\n\nThese sessions will enable you to get your new staff pro
 file written. We will start with a couple of tasks to raise awareness of 
 the kind of promotional language used in these profiles\, and then you wil
 l have time to write your own. As you write\, you can draw on prompts pro
 vided and at elbow support from Lisa. The aim will be to have your profil
 e completed by the end of the session.\n\nThe sessions will run as follows
