DESCRIPTION:Viva Survivor is a three-hour Zoom session designed to help PGR
 s feel well-prepared for their viva. To date\, it’s been delivered to ov
 er 7\,000 doctoral candidates at universities around the UK. By the end of
  a session participants will have:\n· identified what examiners are looki
 ng for when they examine a thesis\;\n· discussed the many ways that other
 s can support preparation\;\n· explored valuable viva preparation methods
 \;\n· established realistic expectations for the viva\;\n· discussed com
 mon questions about the viva.\n\nParticipants will have opportunities to a
 sk any and all questions\, so that everyone can finish the session unburde
 ned and ready for the viva. Participants are encouraged to approach their 
 viva with confidence\, and this is the main message of the session: Viva S
 urvivor aims to help with the final steps of the journey now that the hard
