SUMMARY:UK Data Service: Introduction to the UK Data Service
DESCRIPTION:The UK Data Service holds the UK’s largest collection of rese
 arch data. This introductory workshop is for anyone with an interest in so
 cial research who wants to hear about the vast array of resources we offer
 .\n\nParticipants will learn about the different types of quantitative and
  qualitative data we hold\, how to find those data collections using our o
 nline resource discovery tools and how to register to access datasets in a
  number of different formats. We will also demonstrate how some of our dat
 a collections can be viewed and analysed online\, as well as providing an 
 overview of our support and training resources for students\, researchers 
 and teachers.\n\nThis free online workshop will consist of an interactive 
 presentation with time for questions at the end.\n\nPresenters: Tracey Til
 ler and Anna Woodfield\n\nWe will be using Mentimeter to ask questions in 
 this workshop\, so you may benefit from having a second device ready for t
 his\, such as a smartphone.\n\nThis event will be livestreamed on our UK 
 Data Service YouTube channel but the chat will be disabled. By registerin
 g and attending the Zoom event you will be able to ask questions and inter
 act.\n\nRecordings of UK Data Service events are made available on our Yo
 uTube channel and\, together with the slides\, on our past events pages s
