DESCRIPTION:Did you know that data from major social surveys such as the Br
 itish Social Attitudes survey\, the Labour Force Survey and the Health Sur
 vey for England can be accessed for research and teaching?\n\nThese UK sur
 veys provide a rich source of data from representative samples on importan
 t social and economic topics including work\, family life\, health\, and s
 ocial and political attitudes. Our collection includes surveys from the Na
 tional Centre for Social Research\, Office for National Statistics and oth
 er producers. In most cases\, you can simply download the data once regist
 ered with the UK Data Service.\n\nThis free introductory workshop is inten
 ded for anyone who wants to learn about survey data available from the UK 
 Data Service. The session will cover:\n\n 	the UK datasets available from 
 the UK Data Service\n 	key features of survey data with examples from comm
 only used surveys\n 	how to access the data and getting further help\n\nTh
 e workshop will consist of a 30 minute presentation\, followed by a practi
 cal demonstration of the facilities to find data and a further 20 minutes
