DESCRIPTION:The Brilliant Club – PhD and ECR part time opportunity – 24
 -25 The Brilliant Club is an award-winning university access charity. They
  recruit and train PhD students and ECRs to support disadvantaged school p
 upils access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get t
 here.\n\nThe Brilliant Club provides PhDs and ECRs training in widening pa
 rticipation\, research communication\, and teaching. Researchers are then 
 paid to deliver academically rigorous programmes to small groups of pupils
  in state schools across the UK.\n\nHow does it work? On The Scholars Prog
 ramme\, tutors are trained to deliver a research based programme – eithe
 r one based on their academic research\, or a pre-designed programme. They
  deliver this course in university-style tutorials to groups of 7.\n\nTo h
 elp fit alongside their other commitments\, tutors indicate their availabi
 lity on a termly basis. Placements are paid from £605 per placement\, wit
 h an additional £161 for designing a Scholars Programme course (plus Lond
 on weighting). Travel expenses are also paid.\n\nFor more information\, re
