What is a Narrative CV? A narrative CV is a CV format that provides a structured written description of a person’s contributions and achievements that reflects a broad range of relevant skills and experiences, more than can often be seen in a traditional academic CV. They are highly flexible and can be used by a range of people and organisations in a range of contexts within Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE), from applying for funding, to recruitment to a role. The narrative CV format is now the standard format required for many funding applications and has been incorporated into several Sheffield Hallam processes including the annual Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) plan.
