DESCRIPTION:This introductory course aims to demystify the rapidly evolving
  area of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) tools and provides a 
 practical insight into how these tools can be integrated into the research
  process.\nThe course begins with a 45 minute webinar on Friday 16 Januar
 y 2026 (12:15 – 13:00) which gives an introduction to GenAI and emphasi
 ses the ethical considerations\, limitations and responsibilities associat
 ed with using these tools.\n\nThis will be followed by access to an async
 hronous course which will describe a variety of tools and how they can be
  used for research. Participants will be shown how they can harness the po
 wer of these tools to support their own projects\, including how to find a
 nd compare key references\, draft document outlines\, explore novel ideas\
 , suggest methodologies\, plan projects\, analyse and visualise data\, wri
