SUMMARY:BTE: RIKE Workshop: Writing for REF
DESCRIPTION:This is an open invitation to anyone in BTE involved in develop
 ing research outputs\, whether you’re working on your first or your twen
 ty-first article! The session will be especially useful for those at an ea
 rlier stage in their research trajectories (e.g.\, SRP/new SRR folks). Thi
 s one-hour session focuses on maximising quality outputs through effectiv
 e signposting. Writing and communication skills are vitally important to p
 roducing high-quality research\; effective signposting can make the differ
 ence between a 2* and 3* output (in REF terms). The session is not discip
 linary specific: effective quality signalling transcends Units of Assessme
 nt! The session will:\n\n 	Give a brief introduction to the REF review pro
 cess and quality rankings\n 	Outline the REF quality criteria: Originality
 \, Significance\, Rigour (OSR)\n 	Give some examples of good practice for 
 signalling OSR in outputs\n 	Provide time for Q&amp\;A with RIKE leaders f
 rom both social science and STEM UoAs\n\nThis session will be recorded\, a
 nd will be repeated in the future.\n\nThis event is for colleagues in the 
 College of Business\, Technology and Engineering (BTE) and has been shared
