This workshop is intended for all BTE line managers who manage research active staff. Not all line managers are directly involved with research, and this can pose some challenges for managing colleagues’ research objectives and development plans. To support you, the session provides a concise, useful primer on the strategic context for research, innovation and knowledge exchange (RIKE)—namely, in terms of REF—and an overview of BTE and University RIKE processes that impact on staff capacity (e.g., submission/review of R&I plans and objectives, sabbaticals, ECRIFs). There will also be plenty of time for Q&A. We’ll be on campus, with the option to join online; we’ll also record the meeting as a resource for those who can’t attend.
This event is for colleagues in the College of Business, Technology and Engineering (BTE) and has been shared via the BTE Calendar.
