This programme prepares Master’s and PhD candidates to face the ethical challenges of their research. It provides guidance on how to work ethically in different circumstances, encouraging researchers to reflect on their assumptions and behaviour.

This course explores the ethical challenges faced by researchers during their Master’s degree and or PhD. It will help you to reflect on your ethical approach in a research context through contemporary case studies and multidisciplinary scenarios. This course will take around 110 minutes to complete.

This course provides Master’s and PhD students with a practical guide to applying ethical values to research. It will help you reflect on how to work ethically in a variety of challenging circumstances. This course will take around 105 minutes to complete.

This module is designed to explain the following major ethical considerations when working with human participants: risk, consent, anonymity and confidentiality.

This module is designed to explain the function and purpose of research ethics committees, when approval is needed and how it can be sought.

This module will highlight the importance of being an ethical researcher throughout an entire project and show how the application of the four values can help when unexpected challenges arise.

This module is designed to promote ethical awareness and sensitivity when working in environments where customs, traditions, regulatory and legal frameworks may be unfamiliar.
