The BMRC Research Forum is a platform for BMRC PGR students to engage with various topics presented by fellow students, staff, and invited speakers. It takes place online / in person every Wednesday during term time. The forum is open to all interested staff and students, providing an opportunity to learn from and contribute to discussions on a wide range of research interests.
Our seminar series comprises a well-regarded annual programme of regular presentations across a diverse range of subjects, given by academics from different disciplinary backgrounds. Seminars are attended by academics, students and practitioners and are open to anyone with an interest in the subject matter.
The seminars are hybrid, but depending on the speaker sometimes it can be online only. The series runs from Sept/Oct – June with sessions generally once a month.
The series offers a platform for presenters from across the social sciences and is open to attendees from across the University.
The series offers a platform for presenters from across the social sciences and is open to attendees from across the University. We would particularly welcome contributions from early career researchers and doctoral students. These are informal sessions, intended to offer an opportunity to share innovation in social science research methods, test out and learn about new approaches and skills from each other, and make connections with others who share similar research interests.
The sessions are held in a hybrid format, if attending in person, please feel free to bring your lunch.
Sessions are recorded and slides and recordings shared on the SERI sharepoint. Sessions take place monthly during term time on the third Wednesday of the month, between 1-2pm.
